The 2025 Ramadan season will feature the first-ever dramatic collaboration between Mai Ezz El-Din and Asser Yassin in the series “Qalbi wa Miftahi” (written and directed by Tamer Mohsen). Initially titled “Al-Hob Kolo”, the series belongs to the genre of short-form works consisting of 15 episodes. It will be aired on the channels of the “United Media Services Company,” in addition to the WATCH IT platform, and the UAE streaming platform “Yango Play.”

The plot centers around the character “Azat” (played by Asser Yassin), a driver who meets a passenger named “Mayar” (played by Mai Ezz El-Din) and feels a strong attraction toward her. Mayar is a woman who has been divorced three times from her husband “Saad” and hopes to never return to him, although she fears he might prevent her from seeing their son. In their second encounter, “Azat” is shocked when “Mayar” proposes marriage to him, putting him in a position of great challenges.

The series takes its title from the famous song “Qalbi wa Miftahi”, sung by Farid Al-Atrash in the 1962 film “Message from an Unknown Woman”. It also marks the first collaboration between Asser Yassin and Tamer Mohsen, who returns to Ramadan drama after a hiatus since his highly successful “Lobat Newton” in 2021.

Additionally, the series brings Asser Yassin together again with actor Ashraf Abdel Baki, who previously co-starred with him in the 2008 film “Ala Ganb Ya Osta”. The cast of “Qalbi wa Miftahi” also includes Diab, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Hazem Samir, and Aida Riyad, among others.
